Incursion of the Australian Parliament

On Wednesday 29th of November the year 5/6 had an incursion about the Parliament.

We learnt all the different steps on how bills are passed in Parliament. Firstly they have to pass the house of representatives, if they do they will go to the senate, If they pass the senate they will go to the governor general who will Certainly pass the bill. At the end we had a roll play of the house of representatives.

Learn by Doing Incursion

The Grade 3/4 students participated in an engaging Learning by Doing incursion this week. They were given the chance to craft their very own Solar powered Wind Turbine, immersing themselves in a practical learning experience. This hands-on opportunity allowed them to construct a model using wood and integrate a solar circuit, aligning with their ongoing lessons on sustainable energy and lifestyles. 

Before delving into the workshop activities, students underwent a safety briefing to ensure the responsible use of equipment. They also engaged in discussions and investigations relating to Wind Turbine design, then proceeded to create their individual models. Each student successfully crafted their own Solar Wind Turbine during the session and was thrilled to take their creation home.
