Level 6

In Level 6 we have made so much progress in our learning, we recently started creating a board game for Maths. We also have been making our Year 6 scrapbooks. The whole Level 6 cohort have been resembling Shark Tank and creating a business to convince the Sharks/judges to buy our businesses. Another thing we did was legacy posters. All of us had to add a blurb and 10 adjectives that describe themselves. We also had to include a legacy that we would leave behind.

Shark Tank

Shark tank is where you bring your small business idea and try to grow it. We spent around 6 weeks preparing and planning our finished product. Some people chose to create their own paper models, fashion or things to make people’s life easier. Others chose to create a new product and some chose to recreate something that was much better. The teachers would then judge to pick the final winners. All the creations are amazing!

Board games

In pairs we started to create a board game for our classmates to play. You could combine games, create new ones or change a game to hopefully have the best game ever created. We needed to use creativity and perseverance because some people's games didn’t go to plan. We were flexible and we encouraged others to do their best and gave them feedback.

Scrapbooks

Over the past 10 weeks we have been making our year 6 scrapbooks, holding our primary school memories right from the start. We wrote one piece of writing for each year, for example a poem, narrative, persuasive, etc.

We included photos that reflect the past and hopefully bring back old memories. We have gotten our classmates, friends, teachers and special people to sign it, writing a little message in our books to keep forever.

This year has been amazing and we can’t wait for next year. The year fives are going to take our places and carry the school. This is the last newsletter for 2023, we hope you have enjoyed reading.
