Juniors

The Junior classes have had a lovely end to their Performing Arts term. They were all told their song name for our Production in Term 3 and are eager to learn the dances next term.

We wrapped up the term with an Easter Bunny music activity. We sang a song and played different instruments at the same time whilst maintaining the beat. It was quite a challenge but all students tried their best and got involved.

Seniors

Its all about the ukelele in Grade 5 at Monty! We have been learning the fundamentals of stringed instruments such as how to hold a uke, what the parts are and the correct way to strum. A key part of any stringed instrument is how we use our fingers to create chords. Using one finger per fret, the students have been learning to correctly form chords. It requires some serious dexterity, but our kids have been progressing well!
