Wellbeing and Inclusion

Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) funding process is underway:
In 2025, KCHS will fully transition from the Program for Students with Disability (PSD) funding model to the Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) funding model. The transition from PSD to Disability Inclusion (DI) provides broader opportunities for more students to be considered for funding.
This enables the school to provide targeted support through individual adjustments, whole school professional learning and environmental and human resources. It also provides the opportunity for the school to trial and implement new programs and curriculum initiatives for our learners.
Berry Street Education Model
Across the school, we have been focussing on the implementation the Berry Street Education Model, Ready to Learn Plans and Ready to Learn Scales. This work focuses on understanding our body's internal responses (interoception) and how this impacts our readiness to learn. The students have been engaged in this learning and discussions around effective self and co-regulation strategies. We will continue this work in Term 2.
