Prefect's Update

Dear Kinross Wolaroi Families,

What an incredible start to 2025 it’s been here at Kinross Wolaroi School! The first term has been packed with a wealth of achievements and exciting opportunities that have brought our school community together. From academic excellence to triumphs in co-curricular activities, we’ve truly kicked off the year in style.

As the summer sports season wraps up, our athletes have shown what they’re made of. Our triathletes made a lasting impression at the All-Schools Triathlon in Sydney, while our basketball team powered their way into the grand finals. The cricketers have kept us all entertained with thrilling home field matches, and our rowers have brought home impressive results from the Australian Rowing National Championships, with both the boys’ and girls’ crews excelling on the national stage.

In the arts, the School Musical is off to an electrifying start, with rehearsals full of energy and excitement. A standout moment came when the renowned choreographer Madeleine Mackenzie dropped by to share her wealth of knowledge and passion for musical theatre with our talented cast – what a boost for the production!

Last Friday, we also hosted one of the most spirited and fun-filled school events we’ve seen in a while. The KWS houses came together for an unforgettable House Chant competition, stirring up plenty of enthusiasm in anticipation of the upcoming Athletics Carnival. A huge congratulations to Dean House for their victorious performance and for earning the title of best chanters, as crowned by our esteemed panel of judges. A big thank you as well to the judges who helped make the event so memorable!

As we head into the Easter holidays, I hope everyone takes the time to recharge and enjoy a well-earned break. We look forward to coming back, refreshed, and ready for an even more exciting second term!
