The UN regional Youth Summit was an incredible chance to interact with students around the community and discuss important topics regarding local, national and international problems. It was a chance to express our thoughts and interact with other young voices, discussing similar and contrasting opinions. I met lots of other young people and powerful members of our community. We had collaborative conversations that provided a valuable opportunity to share and discuss our thoughts of relevant problems with regional leaders. The event was run by a United Nations youth group from Sydney. They created a fun interactive environment, enabling rich conversations about the role and effect of the UN and government powers, the impact of our young voices, and the things we can do to actively make a change. This was a wonderful experience and one I would recommend to those interested in leadership or wanting to learn more about these topics.

It has been a busy first term for the Environmentalism Group.
We are proud of the programs we have running at school that help our community reuse and recycle. If you have clothes to being in or would like to swap an indoor plant cutting please do so! Any questions ask our Round Square Environmentalism leaders or email ryoull@kws.nsw.edu.au
Our goal for 2025 is establishing a Return and Earn program.
The group meets each Monday at lunch in the Anderson Centre Foyer. Come along if you are interested in getting involved or if you have any project ideas!
