As we welcome students back for Term 2, a special book display has been created to commemorate ANZAC Day (25th April, 2025) and to pay tribute to past and present service personnel, who have served and are serving across Australia and around the world in areas of conflict and in peacekeeping operations.
In 2025, we also commemorate the 110-year anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps troops at Gallipoli, Turkey (Turkiye).
We take the opportunity to reflect on the contribution made by past and present service personnel and their families. It is a time for us all to reflect on, and commemorate the sacrifice of the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the military.
“ANZAC is not merely about loss. It is about courage, and endurance, and duty, and love of country, and mateship, and good humour and the survival of a sense of self-worth and decency in the face of dreadful odds” (25 April 1999). Sir William Deane (former Governor General of Australia).
