Our Family and Friends Morning on Monday was a fantastic success, with a great turnout of family members and friends joining us to share in the life of our Primary school. It was wonderful to see so many visitors on site, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the morning.
The day began with our whole Primary Monday Assembly, where we shared our regular rhythms and routines. This gave families a glimpse into the familiar structure that helps anchor student learning each week. During the assembly, we also took time to reflect on school memories, inviting everyone to think of a memory from their own Primary School days.
Following the assembly, visitors were encouraged to head into classrooms to see learning in action. Classrooms were soon filled with family members engaging alongside students in a wide range of activities. Learning experiences spanned English, Mathematics, and HASS, and it was lovely to see students proudly sharing their work and learning spaces.
The buzz across the classrooms was undeniable, with students and family members alike actively involved and clearly enjoying the opportunity to learn together. It was heartening to see so many classrooms filled with conversation, collaboration, and curiosity.
Overall, the Family and Friends Morning was a wonderful celebration of community and learning. Thank you to all who joined us and helped make the morning such a memorable and meaningful occasion.

We are excited to share that our casual clothes fundraiser on the last day of Term One raised $1830 (80,000 pesos) for MPFG. Our Year 10 team in the Philippines had the honour of presenting a cheque to Pastor Primrose and she shared with them the huge impact that this amount of money will have on their community.
Thank you to all of our DCS families for your contributions, together we can make a difference!

Last Friday we had three teams of Year 5–6 students represent the school at the North West Schools Futsal Tournament, and it was a fantastic day of sport and teamwork. All teams competed with great effort, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to compete, challenge themselves and represent the school with pride. We are delighted to share that the girls’ team enjoyed a very successful day, finishing as winners in their division — a wonderful achievement that reflects their skill, teamwork and determination.
A big thank you to Mr Dance, Mr Clarke and Mrs Scrimgeour for coaching and supporting the teams on the day. Your time, encouragement and commitment to our students is greatly appreciated.
