Wellbeing

I am incredibly proud to share some of the wonderful initiatives and achievements our students and staff have recently been involved in.

Our school community has shown outstanding generosity and commitment through our support of the Hills Relay For Life. Thanks to the incredible organisation and leadership of Mrs Moloney, along with the enthusiasm and fundraising efforts of our students, we have raised over $13,000 for this important cause. This achievement reflects the compassion, teamwork and community spirit that make our school such a special place.

We are also continuing to collect donated items for the Blankets and Beanies Appeal. Every contribution helps support vulnerable members of our wider community during the colder months, and we greatly appreciate the ongoing support from families and students.

Earlier in the term, ten of our Year 10 students and their Year Advisor Mrs Dyer, attended the Young Healthy Minds Forum. Throughout the day, students heard from inspiring guest speakers who shared valuable insights into mental health and wellbeing. Students were provided with practical resources to help build resilience and learnt strategies for supporting their peers.

In the afternoon, students worked collaboratively to develop and pitch an idea for a new wellbeing initiative that could be implemented at Kellyville High School. Their creativity, leadership and passion for improving student wellbeing were truly impressive. The students are excited to present their proposal to the wellbeing team, and we look forward to exploring how their ideas may be brought to life within our school community.

It is inspiring to see our students actively engaging in opportunities that promote kindness, resilience and positive wellbeing, and I look forward to supporting many more initiatives throughout the year.

Young Healthy Minds Forum – Empowering Student Wellbeing

Last week, ten of our Year 10 students proudly represented Kellyville High School at the Young Healthy Minds Forum. Throughout the day, they heard from a range of guest speakers who shared valuable insights into mental health, resilience, and the importance of supporting one another.

Students engaged with practical resources designed to strengthen their own wellbeing and explored ways they can positively influence the wellbeing of their peers.

In the afternoon, they worked collaboratively to design and pitch a wellbeing initiative tailored for our school community. Their idea was met with enthusiasm, and they are now looking forward to presenting it to our wellbeing team with the hope of bringing it to life.

We are incredibly proud of their leadership, creativity and commitment to fostering a supportive school environment.
