Principal's Address

Hello to all Moonie Families and Community,

Term 3 – Week 5

As we move through Term 3, I am proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate enthusiasm for their learning, kindness towards each other, and respect for our school values. It has been a busy and rewarding few weeks, with highlights that reflect both our students’ academic growth and their participation in a wide range of activities.

Well done to everyone on your participation at the Small Schools Athletics Carnival. We had some fantastic results. Good luck to Caleb, Zach, Annabelle, Gabriella and Chelsea who are participating in the Tara and District Athletics on Wednesday at Tara State College.

Congratulations to everyone who participated at the Eisteddfod last week in Goondiwindi, showcasing their confidence and creativity on stage. They performed with enthusiasm and pride, representing our school so well. Your efforts put into your practices saw you all receiving great results.

We also enjoyed a fantastic Windy Bees excursion at the Sports Club, where students learned about [the fascinating world of bees and their important role in our environment. The hands-on activities were a highlight and sparked plenty of curiosity.

A big thank you to our staff, parents, and community members who continue to support these opportunities. Your encouragement and involvement help make our school a place where students can thrive in all areas of their development.

Library Challenge

The Library Book Reading Challenge has begun. Thank you to the parents who have already sent through images of your child’s reading. It will be great to see each student reach their goals and receive their prizes.
