Leadership Centre

Salamat siang,
What a pleasant week it has been! After a busy start to Term 3, it feels great to be settling back into a routine.
This week, it’s been wonderful to connect with families during the 5/6 students' 3-Way Conferences. It was lovely to hear about what students have enjoyed so far this year and to celebrate their learning progress together.
In Guided Inquiry, students continued working on their Timelines of Australian History. It was fantastic to see and hear the meaningful discussions taking place as students explored significant events that have helped shape the Australia we know today.
In Literacy, we’ve continued reading our class novel Tom Appleby, Convict Boy, which students are thoroughly enjoying. We’ve also been building vocabulary and deepening our understanding of the language we come across throughout the novel . Alongside this, students have begun brainstorming ideas for their Information Report writing. They’ve developed inquiry questions and have started researching their chosen topics, an exciting first step in the writing process.
Have a great week ahead,
From the Leadership Centre
