Principal's Message
Term 3 - Week
This week marked a very special milestone. 100 days of school!
To celebrate, our students dressed up as 100-year olds, showing off their creativity and enthusiasm with walking sticks, grey hair, glasses, and big smiles. What a joyful sight it was to see our little learners stepping into character and having fun with their friends!
In these 100 days, you’ve all grown wider in your understanding, kinder in your hearts, and smarter in your thinking. Every day you’ve come to school ready to try new things, help others, and do your best and we couldn’t be prouder.
A huge thank you also goes out to our wonderful Foundation teachers, Tegan Emma and Ash who have guided, inspired, and supported every child through their first100 days of school.
We kindly ask all drivers to please drive carefully and slowly around the school grounds, especially on Mount Pleasant Road. The safety of our children is our highest priority, and your cautious driving plays a crucial role in keeping our school community safe.
During busy times, such as morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, traffic can become congested. To help ensure everyone's safety, we strongly encourage avoiding U-turns during peak hours on Mount Pleasant Road. Making U-turns in these busy periods creates unnecessary hazards for pedestrians, other drivers, and especially our young students who may be crossing or walking nearby.
Our school’s Instagram account is now public! This change means our posts and updates are accessible to everyone in the community, helping us share the wonderful moments happening here every day.
To respect privacy, all identifiable photos of students have been carefully removed. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful online space while still showcasing the spirit and achievements of our school.
Going public allows us to betterconnect with our local community, parents, neighbours, and friends can easily stay up to date with school events, celebrations, and important announcements. It’s a great way to share our stories, highlight student creativity, and build stronger ties with everyone who supports our school.
We encourage you to follow our Instagram page, engage with our posts, and help us celebrate all the amazing things happening here.

Jonny, Amanda, and I met with the 5/6s to discuss the results from our Attitudes to School survey. This survey aims to understand students’ perceptions and experiences at school. We held focus groups in each class, where every student shared their noticings about a data set and discussed ideas and actions we could take. As always, our students offered thoughtful insights and suggestions that we look forward to exploring further.
Bullying No Way Week is Australia's key bullying prevention initiative for schools. It provides an opportunity for schools to create a shared understanding about bullying behaviours and share their bullying prevention policies and strategies.
The theme for 2025 is 'Be bold. Be kind. Speak up.'
Bullying is everyone's responsibility. It takes a community to be brave and address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.
Students can be bold, kind and take a stand to support others being bullied. While parents and teachers are there to support children and young people learn how to behave in a positive way.
In our community and in our school, we want a place where everyone can belong, a place that celebrates everyone, and where bullying is never accepted.
This Bullying No Way Week, we're asking students, schools, families and communities to be bold and say something, be kind and support someone, and be proud to take a stand against bullying. Wear a splash of purple on Friday 15th of August in support of 'Bullying NO WAY Week'.
Please note that Wednesday, 13th August is a Student Free Day. Teachers will be participating in professional learning and visiting other schools on this day.
OSH Club will be open and running a full-day program for families who require care. Please contact OSH Club directly to book your child’s place.
