Three Year Old Kinder News

We have had such a busy week at kinder! We are really enjoying counting how many children are present each morning and the children are becoming very skilled at guessing the last number in our counting sequence. This week we have practiced self-regulation through the calming practice of deep breathing with the help of a song called Breathe by Sharon Mirri Bell. The song asks us to listen carefully to the sounds we can hear and to slow down with deep breaths. We also learned a new song about marram (or kangaroo in Woiwurrung) and how marram cares for Country and we can too. 

Four Year Old Kinder News

We’ve had another wonderfully active and exciting week at kinder! Our four-year-old groups are continuing to strengthen their friendships and connections, sharing laughter and joy as they play and learn together. Indoors, the children have been deeply engaged in creative activities such as making colourful Hama bead designs, threading beads, and exploring a variety of manipulative resources that challenge their problem-solving skills. Outdoors, the energy has been just as high, with children bouncing happily on the trampoline, riding bikes and dancing, and enjoying the freedom of active play in the fresh air.

Reminders

• Please label all clothing, we have a growing pile of nameless clothes at the sign in ipads. Please go through these as we will shortly be donating them to charity. 
• Please ensure children are just bringing water for hydration to kinder so no juices or milk drinks please. 
• Don't forget a warm coat for outdoor play!
