Looking Ahead: A Term of Celebration, Leadership, and Community

As Term 3 begins, our boarding community is preparing for a vibrant and meaningful few months. With a wide range of activities planned, this term promises to be one of connection, celebration, and personal growth.

A key highlight will be our House Dinners, where boarders, staff, and families come together to recognise the achievements of our students and celebrate the spirit of boarding. These evenings are a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year so far and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special. We look forward to hosting:

  • Miller and New House Dinners on Friday 29 August
  • Weymouth and Wolaroi House Dinners on Saturday 30 August, alongside the much-anticipated Boarders vs Day Students and Weymouth vs Wolaroi rugby matches
  • Loader House Dinner on Saturday 6 September

Leadership development is also front and centre this term, with Year 11 leadership selections underway. This process is a significant moment for our students as they step into roles of responsibility and service. We’ll mark the occasion with a special Chapel service to induct our new leaders at the end of term — a celebration of character, commitment, and community spirit.

For our Year 11 and 12 boarders, the academic demands of the term are considerable, with examinations approaching. Our Prep Support program will focus on fostering a collaborative and encouraging study environment, where boarders support one another and build positive habits for revision and learning.

And for our Year 12 students, this term marks the final chapter of their formal schooling. It’s a time filled with many “lasts” — final Chapel, final sports fixtures, final lessons — and we encourage our senior boarders to embrace every moment. It’s a bittersweet season, but also one of reflection, gratitude, and celebration. We hope they finish their journey with pride and positivity, surrounded by the care and encouragement of their boarding family.

Thank you to all our families for your continued support. We look forward to sharing this exciting term with you and celebrating everything that makes our boarding community so strong and special.
