4 more weeks to go!

We love celebrating Book Week here at Yarra Road… and it always starts off with a Book Character Dress-up Day! This year it will be on Monday the 18th of August, so start checking out your dress-up box at home. There is no need for expensive outfits - you are bound to have a dress up or sports outfit that will match one of your child's favourite books. Have a look on Pinterest or Google images if you are stuck for ideas! Assembly on the day will be a very colourful affair!

During the week there will be many book-ish activities. The teachers will share their favourite books, we will read some of the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s shortlisted books, and each class will also have a Book Tasting! Many classes vote for their favourite book in each category.
