Thank you to all families who have paid their school fees in a prompt fashion. It is very important for the operation of the College that fees are paid swiftly. If you have forgotten to pay your fees within the allotted 14 day timeframe, you may receive a friendly reminder call or email from Pina (Finance Assistant).
The College has completed construction on the Innovation Centre capital project. It is wonderful to see deep teaching and learning occurring in the space.
I was overjoyed by the success of the Queensland State of Origin team winning Game 3 in Sydney early July. In the lead up to the game the Queenslanders were given very slim chances of winning.
After the game maroons coach Billy Slater said,
“That doesn’t mean anything, it is the actions out on the field; when a group of players believe in each other and what they want to achieve together, that’s pretty powerful.”

The path to building the Innovation Centre was very difficult at times with obstacles to overcome and neigh sayers highlighting the possible negatives.
The lesson for all of us is, whether your workplace is on the football field or in a school environment, – when you have a group of dedicated people working together – anything is possible.
