Grade 5

English

Over the next fortnight, Grade 5 students will be learning from their next Core Knowledge unit: Exploring the Continent.

Mathematics

Many students have 'levelled up' in our daily Facts on Fire. This is a testament to their hard work and determination.

Over the next two weeks, students will be learning how to:

-Measure angles with formal units of measurement.

-Measure and draw acute, obtuse, right, straight, reflex and revolution angles.

-Measure interior angles of polygons.

-Construct shapes from given measurements.

-Identify regular and irregular polygons by measuring angles.

-Identify and create tessellations.

Inquiry

Grade 5's have finished their bollards and are ready to share them with you at the 150 years 'Walk Through Time' exhibition.

They are currently working collaboratively on their 'Mega Timeline', which will also be part of the exhibition.
