At CSPS equity is upheld and diverse needs are respected in policy and practice.

Why Inclusive Practice Matters

Inclusive practice is not an “extra” in schools — it is the foundation of a strong, connected, and successful learning community.

When we commit to inclusion, we send a powerful message to every child and family: you belong here. Inclusive practice ensures that students with diverse strengths, needs, and experiences are recognised, valued, and supported in learning at their point of need. It is about removing barriers, not lowering expectations — and recognising that all students benefit when teaching is flexible, responsive, and designed with diversity in mind.

At Cranbourne South Primary School, inclusive practice means thoughtful adjustments, strong relationships, and collaborative planning between teachers, support staff, families, and specialists. It means using evidence-based strategies, listening to student voice, and creating environments where students feel safe to take risks, ask for help, and experience success. Importantly, inclusion also fosters empathy, understanding, and respect throughout our entire school community.

As the year comes to a close, I want to acknowledge the commitment of our staff, students, and families in making inclusion a shared responsibility. Your support, communication, and trust play a vital role in ensuring every child can thrive.

I would like to wish all families a safe, restful, and well-deserved holiday break. We look forward to continuing our work together in the new year, building on the inclusive practices that make our school such a welcoming place for all.

Warm regards,
