Semester 2 Reports 📝

End-of-year student reports are now available to families from this afternoon via Compass.

These reports provide a summary of your child’s learning and progress this Semester. We strongly encourage you to take the time to read the report together with your child. By doing so, you help your child reflect on their learning, celebrate their progress and understand that learning is a shared partnership between school and home.

Within the report, teachers have made professional judgements using the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 progression points. These progression points describe a student’s learning in relation to expected Victorian Curriculum 2.0 standards and are based on a range of evidence collected throughout the year, including classroom learning tasks, assessments, observations, and work samples. Together these represent a teacher’s on-balance judgement of your child’s learning at this point in time.

Regular attendance plays an important role in supporting students to engage fully with learning and demonstrate their knowledge and skills. When students experience frequent or extended absences, they may have fewer opportunities to participate in learning, practise new skills, or demonstrate their understanding. This can also impact the amount of evidence available for teachers when making professional judgements.

Should you have any questions about your child’s report, we invite you to reach out to their classroom teacher, who will be happy to discuss the information in more detail.
