Student Leaders

We are the student Leaders of BNWPS. We try to fix problems in the spaces we learn and play, and make positive changes that make our school better.
The main issue we have focussed on so far this year is helping create equal access of the oval and basketball courts. We have done so by making the Gaga Pit popular again, and making an Indonesian Club so that there is a more even amount of people in each play space in the yard.
If there were more sticks in the yard we also think more people could build cubbies, and if there was more sports equipment to borrow, more kids could be busy using it.
SO… if you have any sticks that are good for cubby building we would love for you to donate them to the school. Please drop them off inside near the gate on Shetland Ave, or near the gate on the oval.
ALSO… this is a callout for any sports equipment that is unwanted but in a good condition to please be brought to school and placed in the metal box near the sports shed for students to play with at recess and lunchtime.
Things we hope to do as Student Leaders:
- Help out with school events like we did for the Winter Solstice and Naidoc Week activities. Next up is helping organise Indonesian Independence Day activities
- Write our own Acknowledgement of Country
- Continue to find problems, bring them to the group and solve them
- Put a suggestions box in the office
