School Sports Day

Dear Parents/Carers and Students,

There have been a few changes to our usual Whole School Sports Day (WSSD). Please see below...

Brunswick North West Primary School WSSD will now be set on the school grounds on Thursday, 14th August, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. And will only be with Grades 3 -6. Foundation to Grade 2 will be having theirs at a later date tbd.

We are excited to have the opportunity to have the event this year for students at our school, where students have practised all their Track and Field events in advance.

Students in Grades 3–6 are encouraged to wear sports clothing or their house colours (e.g. shorts or tracksuit pants, runners, warm layers, and don’t forget a water bottle and snacks).

We would greatly appreciate parent and carer volunteers, as this event wouldn’t be possible without your support.Please bring a printout of your Working With Children (WWC) Check to show at the office on the day.

Events will be run in age groups to reflect District, Divisional, and Regional formats (e.g. 9/10, 11, 12/13 years). Age groups are determined by the student’s age as of 31/12/2025.

Planned events include:

• 100m Sprint
• Discus Throw
• Shot Put
• Long Jump
• High Jump
• 4 x 100m Relay (Teachers/Parents vs. Grade 6 Students - Novelty Event Finale)

We’re looking forward to a fun and exciting day, and we know our students will give it their all in the hope of qualifying for the District Round.
