Shrine Of Remembrance

Grades 3&4 Shrine of Remembrance Excursion
On Friday, 24th April, just before Anzac Day, all of our Year 3 and 4 students visited the Shrine of Remembrance to explore the Anzac story and spirit.
During our visit, we saw staff and camera crews busily preparing the commemoration stands and walkways for the following day’s services. After spending time at the Eternal Flame and the Cenotaph, we entered the Shrine to deepen our understanding of the experiences of our Anzacs during the First World War.
The education staff and volunteers were fantastic, sharing their knowledge and bringing history to life. Students were particularly interested in seeing a boat from Gallipoli, the uniforms of the Light Horse, and a range of service and bravery medals.
It was a truly engaging and memorable experience—one we would highly recommend to anyone. |
