Specialist Term Overviews

Music: In Music this term, students will be learning about beat and rhythm and the difference between them 

They will be exposed to different genres of music from Classical to Jazz.

Physical Education

In PE this term, students will be developing basic understanding of motor skill developments. These will include throwing, catching, kicking and demonstrating correct running techniques.

Art

This term, Foundation students will investigate Mixed Media Construction and Collage. The curriculum focuses on developing "cutting and pasting" skills and exploring how to build simple 3D forms. Students will experiment with a variety of textures and materials to understand how to assemble and layer different elements within their artwork.

Steam

This term, students will use both visual and verbal block code to move avatars or robots in a sequence of steps. All work is completed using an iPad and Education Department-approved coding apps.
