Leadership Report

2026 Student Leadership positions
We would like to congratulate our 2026 Student Leaders, who were announced at a recent whole-school assembly. The calibre of candidates was exceptional, making the decision-making process unbelievably difficult.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a high-quality group of student leaders who have already begun discussing the ways they would like to lead, support and strengthen our school community in 2026. We look forward to seeing their leadership grow and the positive impact they will have across the school next year.
Whole School End of Year Concert
Our End of Year Concert was a wonderful celebration of our school community, made even more special by perfect weather and a fantastic turnout of families. It was a joy to see all of our students perform with such energy, confidence and enthusiasm, showcasing the hard work they and their teachers have put in rehearsing their items.
We extend our sincere thanks to our Parents and Friends for their outstanding work in organising the major raffle, and to our local businesses for their continued generosity and support of our school. Congratulations to all of our raffle winners.
Most importantly, it was wonderful to see so many families come together to enjoy this special event. The concert was a true celebration of community, connection and the spirit of Orchard Park Primary School.
Staff Farewells and Best Wishes
As we come to the end of the school year, we would like to acknowledge and thank several valued members of our Orchard Park Primary School staff.
We farewell Cathy Alison, a highly valued member of our Education Support team. Cathy has worked across our school supporting Prep students and our administration team, and her care, professionalism and flexibility have been greatly appreciated. Cathy is moving on to a full-time administration position at a brand-new school opening in Clyde, and we wish her every success in this exciting next chapter.
We also farewell Nick Pattison, who is moving on to an exciting STEM teaching opportunity at an independent school. We thank Nick for his contribution to our STEM program over the past two years and for the learning opportunities he has created for our students.
We extend our sincere thanks to Kate May for stepping in to support our Year 3 Learning Community. Kate has been warmly embraced by students and has done an outstanding job in maintaining continuity of learning within the class. We are very grateful for her commitment and the positive impact she has had.
We also acknowledge several staff members who will be taking leave in 2026. Elissa Banfield will be taking leave as her family embarks on a relocation adventure to Shepparton. Andrew Green will also be taking leave in 2026 as he spends time travelling, being with family in the Northern Territory, and continuing his teaching studies. Aliyshah Reynolds will also be taking leave next year, and we wish her all the very best during this time.
We also look ahead to 2026 with excitement, as we will be welcoming a number of new staff members to our Orchard Park Primary School community. We look forward to introducing them to families at the beginning of the new school year and welcoming them warmly into our school.
We thank each of these committed and incredible staff members for the contributions they have made to our school community and wish them every success and happiness in the next stage of their journeys.
Final message of 2025
As we bring another school year to a close, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Orchard Park Primary School families for your continued support throughout what has been an incredible year of achievement, connection and success. Our strong partnership with families is at the heart of everything we do, and it has once again made a meaningful difference for our students.
This week, we farewell our remarkable cohort of Year 6 students. They have finished their primary school journey in true Orchard Park style — with a fantastic day at Gumbuya World last Friday, a memorable Graduation ceremony on Tuesday evening, and their final assembly yesterday. We have also heard some unconfirmed reports of an unofficial water fight taking place in the final hour of the day (including a shock ambush of leadership) … a perfectly fitting way to mark the end of primary school!
To our Year 6 students: you leave us with wonderful memories, strong foundations, and much to be proud of. We are incredibly proud of the young people you have become and excited for the next chapter that lies ahead for each of you.
To our staff, thank you for your professionalism, care and unwavering commitment to our students and community. And to our families, thank you for your trust, partnership and ongoing support throughout the year.
We wish all members of our Orchard Park community a safe, restful and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting year ahead.
