Middle School Community
3/4 Overview:
What an amazing year of learning it has been! From exploring emotions in Term 1, to uncovering the migration stories that shaped Australia, to investigating solids, liquids and gases, and finally discovering the vital role bees play in our world, our students have grown in knowledge, confidence and curiosity. Alongside these rich inquiries, they strengthened their literacy through focused phonics and spelling work, and deepened their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. It has truly been a year full of wonder, growth and exciting learning adventures. A heartfelt thank you to all students, parents and carers for making this year so memorable. Your support has ensured our learners could experience such meaningful and enriching opportunities, and we are truly grateful.
Middle and Senior School Cyber Safety Incursion
A few weeks ago, our middle and senior students participated in a very important and engaging workshop around ‘cyber safety.’ Melissa, from the Australian Federal Police, reminded our students how to stay safe when online and gave our them some important safety tips which our students have shared in the comments below.
3/4 Police Student Statements:
“A police officer called Melissa came to our school to talk to us about scammers and being safe online. If you don’t know who they are in real life, you do not talk to them online.” – Haris, MA
“We learnt that if you are playing games online, it should be through a private group, not on a public server with people you don’t know. You should always only play with your cousins or family.” – Yusuf, MA
“I learnt that it's not safe to talk to strangers and never give them any information about yourself!” – Aleena, MA
“There is a new law coming soon. It says that if you are under 16, you can’t be on social media because it's not safe.” – Lauren, MA
Please remember to be vigilant, stay alert and be safe when online!
If anyone needs Melissa’s advice or support, you can contact her through the information on her card, which is attached.
