Thank you to ALL teachers and ES Staff from Year 7 to Year 11, across ALL Learning Areas, your collaboration and teaching has made such a positive difference to these students.
As we conclude Term 4 and draw the school year to a close, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your support and partnership throughout 2025. Your commitment to the wellbeing, learning and long-term success of our students has been evident throughout the year.
Term 4, especially, has highlighted the strength of our school community. With major events, transition activities, celebrations of student learning, and the busy energy that comes with the end of a school year, your steady support has helped ensure that we finish the year well.
As we prepare for 2026, I look forward to continuing our work together, enabling the conditions for every student to thrive. Thank you once again for your partnership and your genuine care for your children and our school.
Early Commencement
It has been great to see so many excited students with the beginning of our Early Commencement program which has run for the past two weeks. Our Early Commencement program allows students to meet most of their teachers for 2026 and to experience their new subjects. The work covered during this time becomes part of their assessment for Semester 1 next year.
World Challenge
Our World Challenge team of 60 students and six staff departed for Sri Lanka on Friday 21 November. We look forward to hearing of the amazing experience our students and staff have, with their return planned on Friday 19 December. Thank you to Ms Cheryl Hodgson for her outstanding efforts organising and leading the expedition, supported by our incredible staff: Ms Kate Adriaans, Mr Jack Barbour, Mr Mal Burt, Mr Brett Cook and Ms Jasmine Rabinov.
Great Victoria Bike Ride
A team of 10 students and two staff, Mr Heath Booth and Ms Ginger Parker, undertook the 2025 Great Victoria Bike Ride of 364 kilometres (approximately 73km per day) from Mortlake to Camperdown from 23 November to 28 November. Thank you to Mr Mal Burt for his support and work throughout the year with these students and staff.
Year 12 Valedictory
We held a wonderful Year 12 Valedictory on Wednesday 19 November. It was fantastic to see a huge number of students there with their families enjoying the night celebrating the Class of 2025! Thank you to Ms Tiffany Greenhill, Ms Brittany Harvey, Ms Kelly Mitchell, Ms Kate Burgess, Ms Leanne Milne, Mr Alex Trickovic, Ms Jasmine Rabinov, Ms Carla Caminiti, Ms Carolyn McIver, Ms Tina Thomas, Ms Claudia Tymms, Ms Mel Donegan, Ms Michaeli Lyon, Mrs Sharon Koning, Ms Meimei Ren, Ms Kelly Lin and Mr Cam Heyes for their efforts and support in overseeing the development of these students. Thank you to ALL of our amazing teachers who have taught these students this year and throughout their time at Frankston High School.
2026 Year 7 Information Evening and Orientation Day
We held our 2026 Year 7 Information Evening on Tuesday 25 November to a full audience of families whose children are joining us in Year 7 next year, followed by Orientation Day on Tuesday 9 December. Thank you to Ms Samantha Cody, Ms Leah Hannas, Ms Holly Quinn, Ms Melody Westlake and Mrs Sharee Dew for their efforts organising these events.
Portsea Lifesaving Camp
Thank you to Mr James Cameron for organising and leading our Lifesaving Camp at Portsea this week. Thank you also to the following staff who are attending: Mr Adam Martin, Ms Emily Blaak, Mr Pat Bloink, Ms Sienna Robson Mr Jai Block, Mr Dylan Garrett, Mrs Georgia Tierney and Mr Rowan Cameron. We are excited for the students/lifesavers to complete their qualifications to begin or continue their patrolling experience at Portsea Back Beach throughout the summer.
Sports Presentation Event
On Friday 12 December we held our 2025 Sports Presentation event, recognising all of our students who have achieved such sporting success this year. Thank you to Mr Luke Rowe, Mrs Jodie Burton, and Mrs Kylie Grech for organising this event, and thank you to all of our staff who coached these students to such success.
Presentation Night
We are looking forward to our 2025 Presentation Night on Monday 15 December which will be a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate some of the wonderful achievements of our students this year. Thank you to Ms Tiffany Greenhill for all her efforts organising this celebration of our year, supported by a fantastic team of staff.
