Welcome Back to Grade 5/6!
It has been wonderful welcoming our Grade 5/6 students back to school and seeing the positive energy they’ve brought to the start of the year. The students have settled in beautifully, reconnecting with friends, building new relationships and showing a strong sense of teamwork right from day one.
Over the first weeks of term, our Grade 5/6 students have been participating in our Ready to Learn program. Through engaging activities, discussions and challenges, students have been getting to know their teachers and peers, setting shared expectations, and creating a classroom culture built on respect, responsibility and collaboration.
Students have explored topics such as teamwork, growth mindset, inclusion and wellbeing, learning practical strategies to manage emotions, support one another and approach challenges with confidence. Highlights so far have included team-building challenges, class mantra creation, mindfulness practices and meaningful conversations about what it means to be a positive and active member of our school community.
The Grade 5/6 cohort has made an outstanding start to the year, showing maturity, enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to work together. We are incredibly proud of the way they have embraced the year ahead and can’t wait to see them continue to grow as learners and leaders in 2026.
