The first two weeks of school have been a wonderful start to this year, with students settling in positively and enthusiastically. During these two weeks, classes have been participating in our Ready to Learn program, which supports students as they revisit routines, build positive learning habits and develop confidence in their new classroom environments. The beginning of the year allows students to strengthen existing friendships, as well as form new ones with people they've never met.
Our Ready to Learn program has offered students an opportunity to get to know their new classmates as they engage in activities that promote connection, inclusion and teamwork. It has been lovely seeing students learn to collaborate, listen to each other and show kindness. Our planned program has included various activities where students have needed to work together to achieve a common goal. These included tabloid sports, cup stacking activities, human alphabet and many more!

Across the school, all students have revisited and practised our school expectations. By reteaching routines and expectations, our students can show a great deal of responsibility and respectful behaviour. All classes have now chosen their Junior School Council representative to speak on behalf of both positives and areas for improvement around the school - these will be announced to the school at our next assembly. Well done to all those who tried out!
