School Wide Teaching and Learning

In each edition of our school newsletter, we share with our community an insight into the curriculum being taught within our classrooms. This reflects our school's strong focus upon continuous improvement.

Each edition covers a different area of the curriculum, and is supported by our school-wide approaches to teaching and learning.

Please enjoy some end of term highlights from some of our student agency electives.

3MDR Radio Station Elective

Throughout the term, our students in the 3MDR Radio Station elective have been very busy creating voice advertisements to showcase the Art Show and Christmas Concert. They also recorded a one hour radio segment titled 'Fresh Air'. You will find our talented students interviewing each other, playing some great music and playing some fun games. Please have a listen and enjoy the show.

Hits include: Golden, Fate of Ophelia and Ordinary.

A huge thank you to the team at 3MDR for hosting our students and spending time teaching them how to write scripts and record in the studio!

Stop Motion

Throughout Term Three and Four, students in the Stop Motion elective have been very busy taking many, many photos to create stop-motion videos.

Please enjoy the following clips made by our amazing students.

Celebrating Learning Across the Victorian Curriculum

As we come to the end of another school year, we take great pride in celebrating the learning growth of our students across the Victorian Curriculum.

Please take the time to read over your child/ren's reports and look through their work samples in their student portfolio. This is a great chance to celebrate all of their achievements both in and out of the classroom.

Throughout the year, students have engaged in rich learning experiences across English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Technologies and Languages, while also developing the Capabilities that support lifelong learning—such as critical and creative thinking, ethical understanding, personal and social capability, and intercultural awareness.

Our teaching and learning programs have focused on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while also nurturing curiosity, creativity and problem-solving. Students have been encouraged to think deeply, ask questions, collaborate with others and apply their learning in meaningful, real-world contexts.

Assessment and feedback throughout the year have helped guide student growth and informed our teaching, ensuring learning is responsive to individual needs. We are proud of the resilience, effort and progress shown by our students as they worked towards achieving curriculum standards at their year level.

As we look ahead to the new year, we thank our families for their continued support and partnership in learning. Together, we are building confident, capable learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

We wish all families a safe, restful and happy holiday break.
