Winner of our Year Six Auslan Award of 2025 for Outstanding work.
Thank you to our Auslan Leaders for 2026 Olivia Robinson and Lincoln Fage.

Thank you to our Friday Signers who practised many Friday mornings during their own recess time to prepare for the Christmas concert.

What an amazing year of growth it has been for the junior students! From first introductions to Auslan and signing for the Foundations, to extending and exploring new vocabulary for the Year One and Year Two students. This year has been the first year that a year level has had three full years of Auslan and it is beautiful to see their confidence and skills develop and combine sign knowledge from different units to create their own informative sign phrases.
They have a deepening understanding of deafness, the Deaf community, Culture and language with highlights being the Sporting unit and watching parts of the Deaflympics in November.
I look forward to an amazing year in 2026 with our Auslan Day in Term One and a year full of new learning for the students and ourselves.

The Year Three and Four students have been looking back over the year's work and what they enjoyed in our Auslan classes this year. There have been flags to celebrate our identities, travel and transporting packages, ordering foods in our own cafes and celebrating Deaf sports excellence with the Deaflympics in Tokyo. We have travelled the world from our little classroom and had sushi on the side. Please take a look at some of their favourite signs, projects and past photos... and have a Merry Christmas!!!

The Year Five and Six students have been enjoying the highlights of the Deaflympics with some amazing Deaf and Hard of Hearing sports people from all over the world. The hammer throw, orienteering, beach volleyball, and of course basketball have been of particular interest. We have rounded the year off with a review of all the projects over the year. Good luck to all the Year Sixers and see you next year Fivers! Merry Christmas to all.
