Sustainability @ TPPS

What a way to end a great year! We are very proud to announce that our school has been awarded our third star out of five for the Resource Smart Schools Program! This star is for achieving our Waste Module.
ResourceSmart Schools is a free program offered by Sustainability Victoria that supports Victorian schools to embed sustainability across the school facilities, community and curriculum, while saving resources and money for the school. Schools must accomplish a set number of actions to complete a module to receive a certificate valid for five years.
To achieve a star involves a lot of people working together to create and maintain good sustainable practices within our school community. This includes students, staff and of course our families at home supporting us. This is a huge achievement that has taken several years to complete. Thank you to everyone who supports us to do our best!
Grade 1 did an amazing job at assembly educating and entertaining the school about litter with their song “LitterBug”. Everyone was very impressed!
Grade 3 have made their film debuts! Please view the wonderful videos about storm drains and water pollution that these students have created through lots of hard work.
They are on Compass now.
Happy holidays! Here are some tips to be more sustainable if you are celebrating Christmas these holidays:
