Todd Woodbridge Cup - Tennis
On Tuesday 6 August, Year 3 and 4 students participated in the Todd Woodbridge Cup held here in Gunnedah. St Xavier’s sent 3 teams to participate in the event, with all teams learning some valuable tennis skills over the day. Each team played 5 rounds with one of our teams making it to the playoffs where they finished second and qualified for the Regional Final, well done!
Diocesan Athletics
Last Friday, 32 St Xavier’s students travelled to Tamworth to compete in the Diocesan Athletics Carnival. It was a beautiful day in the sun and everyone showed great sportsmanship and supported each other in their events. There were lots of great results, with 16 students qualifying for the 100m finals and 8 of those finishing in the top 3, well done!
There were also lots of personal bests across the track and field events. Well done to the 19 students who have qualified to attend the Polding Athletics Carnival later this term. W a great achievement!
Congratulations to Josh Spinks for winning joint Senior Boy Champion and to Isabella Hamilton for winning joint Senior Girl runner up.
