Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits

Hi Everyone,
The production has kicked well into gear, the students are looking great, can’t wait for an amazing show to follow. Below is some much-needed information regarding the production Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandit held at Alexander Theatre, Monash University, Clayton. Students from all year levels will have some on-stage involvement in our show.
Wednesday 23rd October
9am-3:30pm students will be traveling to and from theatre by bus for rehearsal during School time, further information will be advised closer to the date via Compass.
Evening Show 7pm - 8:30pm
- 6-6:15pm Student drop off at "Stage door entrance": map will be provided
- 6pm Doors open enter via main entrance
- 7pm Beginning of show
- 8:30pm Conclusion of show & announcements
- Collect students (location to be advised)
Thursday 24th October - Matinee - 1pm - 2:30pm
- 8:50am Normal school drop off (students are welcome to arrive later due to the late night the night before, as long as they are at school by 9:45am).
- 11am Bus departure from school to Monash
- 1pm Beginning of show
- 2:30pm Conclusion of show & announcements
- Students go home with attending parents/carers
- Bus transport back to school available for students unable to be collected, returned to school for a normal school dismissal
Ticket cost will be $25 and sold through Box Office. Children under the age of 3 can sit with an adult. Roberts McCubbin students taking part in the production do not require a ticket.
All students will be performing on both days, however the cast will vary slightly on each day.
A follow up email with more information will be sent home along with dress requirements.
If for some reason your child cannot attend one or both days, please let your classroom teacher know.

Roberts McCubbin Primary School takes pride in fostering growth in performing arts and placing importance on embracing community spirit. Our school is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and engage with the community through performing. This year’s production aims to provide a platform for students to express themselves, collaborate, and develop valuable life skills such as teamwork and communication.
We pride ourselves to run a successful performing arts production that enriches the lives of children and fosters community partnerships.
Our mission is to provide a production that is fun, aligned with education and creates memorable experiences for all involved. We are seeking sponsorship to help with various aspects of the production, including: Props, costumes and staffing.
These areas are essential to produce a high-quality show for students, families and friends to enjoy.

We would be extremely grateful with any sponsorship you can provide to the school.

- Acknowledgment in the School Newsletter leading up to the night

- Logo or Family Name printed on the Production Program on the night
