Principal Update

St Francis, Nathalia is a child safe school.

We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.

Swimming Program

We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming program again this year at Aquamoves! St Francis students spent the week in the water, enhancing their understanding of water safety, improving their swimming techniques, and learning how to perform water rescues safely.

Learning to swim from an early age provides students with vital water safety skills. Drowning is a leading cause of accidental deaths, and swimming lessons can greatly reduce this risk by teaching students how to float, tread water, and swim to safety. Even if students don’t plan to be frequent swimmers, knowing how to swim is essential for preventing accidents in various water environments, such as lakes, rivers, or pools during recreational activities.

Throughout the program, students continued to refine their swimming abilities while building confidence and self-esteem. As they faced challenges and made progress in their skills, they experienced a sense of accomplishment and self-assurance.

And of course, they had plenty of fun at the pool too!

Book Week Parade

The Book Week Parade is back bigger than ever this year.   The parade will occur on Monday 29th August at 9am - Basketball Courts.  We look forward to students, staff and any parents or siblings celebrating reading this year.  The theme for 2024 is "Reading is Magic" with students involved in Book Week activities following the parade.
