Level Masses for term 3

This term we will continue to celebrate mass in our levels with the parish community. 

There has been a change to the masses for the 1/2 Level. See below.

First Eucharist

Congratulations to our 48 Year 4 students who celebrated their First Eucharist over the past two weekends.  There were 5 masses in total celebrated by Father Arsenio or Father John. Thank you to all our students who read during mass. There were some very tricky readings and all students read so beautifully and fully  participated to make each mass a wonderful and memorable celebration. 

Thank you for keeping these wonderful young people in your prayers as they continue on  their faith journey.

PARISH NEWS

Congratulations to all the children who made their First Eucharist over the last two weekends.  They were beautiful ceremonies and the children looked lovely.  A big thank you to their teachers, parents and of course, Marianne who led them on this faith journey.  We hope that the occasion was memorable for them all.

The next Baptism Information Meeting will be held on Tuesday 10th September at 7.30 pm in the Mary Bresnan Room.  Bookings are essential.  Please call the office on 7036 9395 to advise of your attendance.

Don’t forget to return your raffle tickets, sold or unsold.  Thank you to those who have already returned their tickets.  The fete is not far away so get your tickets back to ensure that you are in the draw for the wonderful prizes on offer.

To all those budding artists of all ages.  You are invited to an Opening Celebration on Saturday 7th September, from 2-4pm at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre to celebrate this year’s Holy Spirit Art Exhibition.  The theme this year is “Soul Inspired – A Moment in Time”.  An inspiration of our Parish to artists of all ages and abilities to exhibit their work.  All are welcome.

The Italian Community invites you to join them in celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Grace on Sunday 8th September from 1.30 pm at St Patrick’s Church, Lilydale.  Mass will be celebrated in Italian and conclude with a procession followed by refreshments in the school hall.

Finally, all teachers, parents and friends are invited to a special event “Moving Kids and Teens from Anxiety to Resilience”.  There will be three guest speakers and it will be held in the Community Centre on Friday 6th September from 7.30-9.30 pm.  A wine and cheese supper will follow.  Entry is free but bookings are essential.  Go to https//www.trybooking.com/CUQFL.  There is a poster on the front door at school reception and also a poster in the Church.

St Vincent de Paul are seeking donations of the following for the month of August:  coffee, tea, long life milk, breakfast cereals and spreads, tins of soup, pasta and rice.  Donations can be left in the wheelie bin by the front door of the Church entrance.
