100 DAYS OF SCHOOL

Our Foundation students had a wonderful time celebrating their 100th day of school on Friday 16th August with the theme “100 Days Brighter.” We saw everyone dress up in their rainbow bright colours, even Miss Thomas and Miss Valentine too! The day was filled with exciting activities that brought big smiles and lots of fun. The kids stacked 100 cups into towering creations, made delicious fairy bread topped with 100's and 1000's, and played math games like “Roll to 100” to practice their counting skills. They also enjoyed a playful 100 duck hunt, searching high and low for little ducks hidden around their classrooms.

To end the day on a high note, we had a special assembly where each student was celebrated by their buddies and teacher. The buddies gave heartfelt speeches, highlighting their favourite characteristics of each student. Miss Thomas and Miss Valentine are so proud of how far everyone has come so far in their journey of Foundation. It was a joyous occasion that truly showcased how much our Foundation students have grown and how bright their future is. Here’s to many more exciting milestones and bright days ahead! 🌟🎉

Maths

This week in Foundation Maths, our little mathematicians explored the exciting world of sharing and grouping. We focused on creating equal groups and learned how to share objects into 2 and 3 groups. The students practiced sharing items evenly using counters and blocks and even discovered what happens when there are leftovers. Every did a fantastic job explaining how they shared the counters, demonstrating their understanding with clarity and confidence.
