What a fabulous time we have had in the Music Room!
Our Foundation students learned about fruit rhythms, clapping and placing icy pole sticks next to pictures to show how many syllables each word had.
Year 1/2 students sorted instruments into categories of how they are played: shaking, tapping, scraping and banging.
Ukuleles are being strummed and new chords learned by the year 3-6's. This week some of our students have performed songs to their classmates.
Our Junior Choir sang three lovely songs at assembly last Friday: "Sing a Rainbow", "Rainbows, Trees and Tambourines" and "Make a Difference".
It was such a joy to hear the whole school sing "Shordi Krik" at assembly. Students sang
with enthusiasm and used actions to accompany the song.
If you'd like to see the students singing this song, please see the school’s Facebook post which you can access through our website - https://www.donvaleps.vic.edu.au/
