Year 1/2
Japan Projects
This week students have begun presenting their Topic projects about Japan. So far we have seen models of Mount Fuji, cherry blossom trees, sushi and mochi samples, informative posters and presentations, volcano eruptions and clay models. We commend students on all of their hard work and effort they put into these projects, as well as for their eagerness to share their creations and newfound knowledge with peers. We also wanted to thank families for all of their help in bringing these projects to life. A terrific effort!
Book Week
This year’s theme for book week was ‘reading is magic’. Students came dressed to impress, with a whole range of characters turning up to LPS in the morning. Students participated in various book themed activities throughout the week such as, matching the teacher to their favourite and recreating the front cover of a chosen book, congratulations to our 1/2 winner Poppy and runner up Audrey.
We wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday. Thank you for all the effort we have seen over the past term. We look forward to seeing more ‘light bulb moments’ as we move towards the end of the year.
