Preps

How is it nearly the end of term 3 already! This year is flying by, but not without some wonderful work from the preps. We have been able to get through so much learning these past 9 weeks. All of the preps have worked so hard and deserve the break coming up!

Over the past nine weeks we have been working hard learning a number of digraphs, learning all the components of a procedure and writing a whole one, and have done lots of work on sharing, place value and data in maths. We have also made time to spend with our buddies on Friday afternoons!

The highlight of our term has definitely been SAKG. The Preps have loved their Wednesday & Thursday afternoons in the kitchen cooking, cleaning and eating all the delicious food. As well as getting outside and gardening on Tuesday’s. We want to say a very big THANK YOU to all the parent helpers we had for both cooking and gardening.

We have had a fun filled term with lots of extra special activities as well. The Preps loved dressing up as their favourite book characters for book week, dancing the night away at the school disco, doing a number of fun experiments on science night and celebrating the Olympics with our own mini-Olympic games right here at school! We have had a wonderful term in Prep.

Just a reminder that we are back to wearing hats outside during Term 3 and 4. All students must have hats to play outside.

One last reminder – Friday the 20th of September is the last day of Term 3. Students will finish at 2.15pm on this day. It is also footy day; students are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite footy/sports team’s colours.

Have a great break, see you all in Term 4!! 😊
