With the start of spring, comes the return of the school hat! Please ensure your child has their broad-brimmed school hat, ready for next week!
On Monday and Tuesday, all students in Prep-6 will have the opportunity to participate in two workshops with Mindfull Aus, thanks to support from AGL. Families are also invited to learn more about the 'Healthy Hearts, Lighter Minds' program and how you can implement strategies at home, by attending the parent/teacher workshop on Monday, in the multi-purpose building, at 3.30pm.
Monday's Year 5 skateboarding lesson focussed on self esteem, its impact on mental health and things that we can all do to improve our self-esteem. This includes doing things we enjoy, and trying to focus on positives like our strengths, being grateful, and looking after our physical well-being. During their lesson, students also had the opportunity to try 'riding the rail' and doing a 'drop-in'.
Unfortunately, due to the changed weather conditions and absence of snow, our Year 5/6 Cross Country Skiing program has had to be cancelled. A big thank you again to everyone who contributed to this year's snow program. Our students have had a great experience and we really appreciate the time and effort that has been given by our staff, the Howmans team, our volunteers and instructors.
Thank you to those families who have taken the time to participate in the the annual Parent/Carer Opinion survey. If you haven't already done so, please help inform our planning, by taking the time to complete the survey, before it closes. For more information on how to access the survey, please refer to the recent Compass notification.
