Book Week celebrations!
Parade
Our preps could barely contain their excitement for Book Week and we counted down the days until we could all wear our costumes to school! The day finally arrived and we celebrated with a parade on Friday 23rd August. It was a lot of fun to see the whole school dressed up and to marvel at the fun and creative costumes that everyone was wearing. The preps walked around to one of our concert songs, 'Living in a Fairytale' which added to the festive atmosphere. Thank you to our prep families for the effort you went to in dressing up your children. They all looked incredible!

Some of the Preps chose to participate in the optional Visual Arts activity, to make a diorama of a favourite book. We were amazed by the time and effort that students went to (with a little bit of help from mum and dad...) to make their creations. Have a look below!
Author Visit
Cassy Polimeni visited our school and talked to us about life as an author, where she draws inspiration from and the magic in writing. She had us create our very own frog orchestra and learn about seed preservation. Our preps loved meeting a real life author!
News Groups - Board games
Recently, one of our News Groups topics was 'Bring your favourite board game for a rainy day' and what a hit this topic was! Students had riotous fun playing each others' games! They played games like Snakes & Ladders, different versions of Monopoly, Uno, Twister Candyland, Memory, Pictionary and much more! The preps were very respectful of each others' games by playing with them carefully and the best part - all the games went home in one piece and with all their parts. Now that's an achievement!
Concert Rehearsals
The Preps have been working hard at home and school to learn their lines and songs for the Prep production. Excitement is growing with every rehearsal! Tim, our Performing Arts teacher, is putting in extra time with us to make sure that the concert will be AMAZING! We had a super special rehearsal with our buddies to rehearse lines, which was a lovely way for the buddies to connect. We all can't wait for the concert on September 11th!
