The Wrap Up
Our 2024 calendar ended on a high note last week with Parent & Friends hosting our annual Prep Transition Morning Tea at Molesworth Street Campus. A generous cohort of current MSC parents hosted and provided a beautiful assortment of home baked goodies (muffins, cookies, cakes, slices) to accompany our favourite Small Batch coffee brew and always-delightful Mork cinnamon buns, to welcome all the incoming 2025 families to NMPS.
This wrapped up another fun year of activities for P&F which included our calendar events:

We appreciate the Parents & Friends team and everyone at NMPS’s contribution and participation in our school community activities over the course of the school year. The wellspring of ideas, positive attitudes and community spirit contribute to the success of our P&F events, and the ultimate reward of seeing those happy smiles on our student’s faces as they share these memorable school experiences.
Growing Community Engagement in 2025
Our school community grows every year, and the success of our P&F community events are very dependent on the enthusiasm and willingness for our 600+ parents and families getting involved. It is very rewarding to participate in volunteering and contributing to our school events, and a great way to make connections with other families, and to role models for students the myriad benefits of sharing goodwill and community spirit at all levels of their school life. Your enthusiasm, skills, and energy are very welcomed as we head into 2025. To all those who’ve recently expressed interest in getting involved next year we look forward to seeing you at our first 2025 meeting at the start of Term 1 on Tuesday 4 February. Please note: the P&F AGM will be held early-March, and we are seeking new Committee members for 2025, with several long-term committee members standing down.
Parents and Friends Overview
Who are P&F? We are a small but mighty group of parent and carer volunteers who organise fundraising and social activities that bring our school community together.
Who can join P&F? Anyone who cares about our school and is willing to help out with or lead activities and events.
What’s the commitment? Meetings are held monthly, usually on a Monday or Tuesday evening at a local venue near the school. Members can lead activities or provide support and assistance where possible/convenient. New members and ideas are always welcome! If you can’t attend the meetings, you are welcome to join our ‘keep in touch’ list and we’ll call on you to volunteer from time to time.
What’s in it for me? It’s a great way to get to know other members of the school community and feel connected to the school and your child’s education. We are an enthusiastic, friendly group where you will feel welcome and valued. Volunteering is rewarding!
