STEAM Challenge

Monday 1st July - Wear Sports Uniform

Week 10 STEAM Challenge

STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

All students from K-6 will participate in a peer-support STEAM Challenge on Monday 1st July in the MPC. Parents/Carers are welcome to call in and join in the fun while they are at school for parent/teacher meetings.

Students are to wear sports uniforms and are invited to bring donations of recycled and craft materials to contribute to the STEAM shop for all to use. We need the following:

  • Cardboard tubes (i.e cling wrap tubes)
  • Cardboard boxes, clean milk bottles and lids, and other items from your recycling bin
  • Tape, ribbon, string, glue - anything that can be used as an adhesive
  • Material scraps
  • Recycled wrapping paper and small pieces of light wood
  • Anything that can be used in an engineering challenge!

If you plan to collect your child after your parent-teacher meeting please let a staff member in the MPC know and sign your son/daughter out on the kiosk in the office.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me through the school office or maloneys1@ww.catholic.edu.au.

Kind regards

Mrs Simone Maloney
