Compassion

This week we launched a new SJJU PBL behavior focus:

We use kind words and actions!

Kindness stems from our school PBL Value, Compassion. Staff will be explicitly teaching how we use kind words and actions in Weeks 9 and 10.

Kindness is:

Thinking before we speak - is it kind, true, and necessary?
Considering the impact of our actions and words on the feelings of others
Using manners, expressing gratitude and compassion, being considerate, and doing random acts of kindness
Reflecting on how good it made you feel to be the recipient of kindness and how fulfilling it can be to show kindness to others

We hope that the beauty of kindness seeps into our classrooms, playgrounds and homes, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, feedback or concerns.
