Confirmation Retreat Day - 5 June 2024

On Wednesday, 5 June the College hosted the Confirmation Retreat Day for St Aloysius Parish. The Lasallian Youth Leaders and Mercy Leaders from OLM assisted in preparing the students.

The students assisted in running workshops throughout the day that the candidates rotated through. The candidates made cookies and were challenged to then gift these to someone in their family.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Veterans Commemoration Service

On Friday, 31 May students representatives: Aimee H, Christian Manton, Lily Thearle,  Avondale Thompson and Isabella Walker along with Mr Paul Walker represented the College at the Indigenous Veterans Commemoration Service at the Anzac Memorial at Hyde Park. This annual service provides an opportunity to unite all Australians during Reconciliation Week and combines conventional military protocol with Indigenous ceremony. The students were part of a wreath laying ceremony that honours the service and sacrifice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander veterans.

Yr 7 Mass each Thursday morning at 8am

The pastoral classes will be rostered each Thursday to attend mass with Fr Rex, our College Chaplain. 

The year 7 students have been gifted and presented with a Bible. This Bible is a gift from the College and will be kept at school so the students can use and come to know and learn about the scriptures. Fr Rex and Br John Pill presented the students with the bible in a prayerful liturgy. The students were reminded by Br John that the Bible is no ordinary book; it needs to be respected and treated with care. 

Yr 7 Mission Leaders Badge Presentation

The Mission leaders will receive their badges next week at the College Mass on Thursday, 13 June in the school Chapel. Parents are invited to attend the 8am mass for the blessing of the badges and presentation.
