Newlands Athletics Carnival

We are thrilled to announce that our annual Athletics Carnival is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for Friday, 2nd August (Week 3, Term 3), when we will gather at the Harold Stevens Athletic Track for a day filled with sports, fun, and community spirit.

In the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM, students from Year 3 to Year 6 will kick off the day with exciting events such as Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump and different races. During this time, our Preparation, Year 1, and Year 2 students will remain at school, where the Preparation students will celebrate their 100th day of school!

Around 11:30 AM, the Preparation, Year 1, and Year 2 students will arrive at the Athletic Track to join the older students. In the afternoon, all students will participate in a range of fun physical activities, including sack relay races, scarecrow tiggy, parachute games, and 50m races. 

At 2 PM, don’t miss the much-anticipated parents and teachers race, back by popular demand after last year’s success. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents and teachers to show their competitive spirit and have some fun!
