NPS 2024 School Production

It's that time again! We are getting ready for our Newlands biennial whole school production. This year we will be holding the event on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th of September at the Darebin Arts Centre at 7pm. We will be celebrating our performing arts program with an on stage performance following the story some characters who get themselves into a sticky situation after stumbling across a magical teleportation device. The story will follow 5 principal actors from the 5/6 area on their travels and is sprinkled with energetic musical items performed by each class within the school. All students will be performing and get the chance to shine on the stage on both nights. 

We have two principal casts, one for each night and they have already been busy rehearsing and practising lines. In cast 1 we have Adam El-Alo, Charlie Fay, Alessia Santamaria, Mia Gartland-Plata and Florence Thompson Jolley. In cast 2 we have Ali Robert-Mazloum, Charlie Green, Abigail Peebles and Marlowe Nolan Jeanes. Each of these wonderful actors blew us away at their auditions and their dedication to the role so far has been fantastic. We look forward to cheering them on on the night of the production. 

All students have been busy this week, making aspects of their costume that they will be wear on the night. Please keep on eye out on Sentral this week and the first week back of school with information about things that families can help with in regards to costumes. Each class will have their own individual needs. 

We will continue to update you in the lead up to the special event next term with information about to ticketing, drop off and pick on the night along with many other things. 

We are all looking forwards to dazzling you in September.
