Next Friday 28th June is the last day of Term 2. Students will be dismissed at the earlier time of 2.15pm. The school buses will also run at the earlier time of 2.15pm (other than the NSW bus) and OSCH will also finish at the earlier time of 5pm. Thank you to students, staff and community for making this such a successful term. I wish all our staff, students and families a very safe and happy break. School will resume for Term 3 on Monday, 15th July.
On the last day of this school term, Friday 28th June 2024, the Victorian afternoon School Bus runs will commence one hour earlier than a regular school day.
NB: All public service routes will continue to run at their normal times as per the current timetable.
Any student that would normally catch connecting buses will be required to make their own arrangements.
The work on our new administration space, first aid room, cafeteria, toilets, server room and meeting room is progressing well. The internal spaces in the main building are ready to be painted and the external cladding on both the new building and the current library block will get underway very soon. I have included some photos below of the current work to keep all of our families up to date with the progress. The new building is still on track to be completed by July/August, which is exciting!
Joelene Circosta started her leave from last Monday 17th June. Joelene is currently on leave from Merbein P-10 College but hopes to make her move to South Australia a permanent one, so we wish her all the best with this move. Josh Lee will be taking on much of Joelene’s music role during semester two.
Proposed student free day – Monday 22nd July.
This date will be taken to school council for ratification next week, as we have our consultant, Janelle McGann, booked in to continue her work with our secondary staff on differentiated practice. Our primary staff will also be involved in professional learning on this day, if the date is confirmed.
