Wellbeing Report

Dear Families

The wellbeing of all students continues to be a top priority at Woori. This term, our efforts have focused on fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and empowered to express themselves. Through various programs, activities, and teacher support, we aim to promote positive mental health, resilience, and emotional growth.

We has made significant progress in supporting student wellbeing this term. Continued investment in both proactive and responsive strategies is vital to ensure every child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Food Pantry

The wellbeing team would like to let families know that there are a number of food items available for families to use. There are a variety of cereals: Vitabrits, Weeties, Cheerios, Muesli, Oats and gluten free Maple Crunch and Multi O’s. We have a variety of meal packs: Pumpkin (GF), Hotpot (GF) and Chicken Noodle soups, canned spaghetti and baked beans, rice and veg pouches (GF) and tuna with rice and quinoa. Spreads: vegemite and honey. Canned fruit and UHT milk and lactose free milk. A new addition to the pantry are Vita-Weat crispbreads. All of these food items are kindly donated by Foodbank who aim to support families who are in need of a little help. If you would like to visit the pantry or receive a food hamper which contains most of these items please come down on Wednesday 2:30 – 3:30pm when the cupboard is very full or contact the wellbeing team so we can arrange a package for collection from kiss and drop.

Breakfast Club

If you would like your child to make use of our yummy breakfast foods, send them to school that bit earlier so they will have time to eat and enjoy their food. We serve toast until the music is playing for the start of the school day. Please remind your child that if they want to have something to eat before school that they need to head straight down to the German Room. While the music for the bell is playing there are only fruit cups and milk drinks available.

Chaplaincy

Sally Marshall – Chaplain: is happy to catch up with your child if you feel they need that extra emotional support during school hours. Sally is available on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and can be contacted via email sally.marshall@education.vic.gov.au or by phone call 5964 7258.
