Sports Program

All students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of sporting activities within the framework of the Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne (EISM) association. House sports in Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country are held to encourage school community involvement and to give students an opportunity to be selected for the EISM Carnivals. Sport is a compulsory subject every Monday (Year 7), Tuesday (Year 8) and Thursday (Year 9) afternoon. Students choose from a variety of seasonal sports which are played against other schools in the EISM association. Prior to the sport season starting, selection trials are held giving students the opportunity to trial/learn their preferred team sport. Following the trials, weekly interschool matches are played as outlined in the table below. For student who are not allocated an EISM team, a fun and engaging alternative program runs at Donvale.
